U.S. News & World Report: Pécs Medical School among the top 500 in the world

The UP MS has been included in the U.S. News & World Report Education's 2020 top 500 higher education thematic world ranking in the field of clinical medicine.

The annual ranking of the U.S. News & World Report is the Best Global Universities, which ranks higher education institutions worldwide by areas of study and region. The publisher is known for differentiating based on consistent, area-specific methodology and is considered one of the major significant rankings along with the academic rankings of Academic Ranking of World Universities, QS World University Rankings and The Times Higher Education.

In the field of clinical medicine, the University of Pécs Medical School was ranked 471st in the thematic world ranking, becoming second in Hungary after the Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine.

Among the Hungarian medical training places, the University of Debrecen is ranked 580th, the University of Szeged is ranked 520th while the leading Semmelweis University Faculty of Medicine is ranked 222nd.

The scientific performance was even more prominent than in previous years when compiling the 2020 ranking. The U.S. News & World Report ranked the best universities in the world taking into account 14 parameters this year, and made the top 500 list available in 14 areas of study.
